 | Streak Finally Over, Yamamoto Held Hitless Friday, July 1st, 2016 Katsuhiko Yamamoto's 20-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today in the Jokers 5-3 setback to the Toreros. Yamamoto went without a hit in 4 trips to the plate. Talking to BNN after the game he was visibly upset. But the streak had little to do with it. "I'm disappointed we lost, I'm not one bit disappointed that the streak ended," Yamamoto said. "The hitting streak was just one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight." Looking at his season stats, Yamamoto has compiled a .360 batting average and a .402 on-base percentage, while hitting 30 home runs and driving in 85 runs. |   |
