 | Crawford Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Carolina Thursday, June 30th, 2016 Outlaws shortstop Jim Crawford went 0-for-2 today in Nottinghamshire's 4-0 triumph over the Carolina Crush, snapping his 28-game hitting streak. Crawford spoke to BNN after the game and said, "I knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later. I just would have preferred later." When he made an out in his last chance at bat, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. The Crush manager shrugged off the streak. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," he said. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here." In 26 games this year Crawford has posted a .370 average and put up these numbers: 4 home runs, 13 RBIs and 25 runs scored. |   |
