Ann Arbor whipped Jersey 12-8 and Nick Johnson displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Nick is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have." The 23-year-old third baseman for the Barn Owls collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats to get his name in the record book. Nick Johnson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
