 | Jacks Lose Chandler Matthews Sunday, May 8th, 2016 It took the Jacksonville team doctor a while to realize it, but starting pitcher Chandler Matthews won't simply play through a sprained ankle after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Shamrocks-Jacks game. At first, it looked like Matthews might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 4 weeks. In 6 starts this season, Matthews has recorded 3 wins and absorbed 1 loss. He has pitched 35.1 innings, allowed 43 hits, struck out 20 and has a 2.55 ERA. |   |
