Whether he wants it or not, Charles Bailey of the San Francisco Earthquakes will be getting some R & R -- rest and relaxation. The starting pitcher was hurt in today's Earthquakes-Mafia game while throwing a pitch. Team officials announced after the game that Bailey had suffered a torn back muscle and would be out of action for 4 months.

So far this season Bailey has a 3-2 record, 6 starts, 40.2 innings, 38 strikeouts and a 3.32 ERA.
