 | Smith Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Friday, April 29th, 2016 South Bend could care less about Dan Smith's hitting streak. All they care about is who won the game. The Shamrocks manager told BNN, "Not to belittle his streak, but at the end of the day, the important thing is winning the game, not stopping a hitting streak." Well, the Shamrocks didn't stop Dan Smith today, but they won the game 10-1 over the Toreros. The Cabo San Lucas first baseman was 2-for-4 in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. Dan Smith singled in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Thus far this season Smith has hit .429 with 8 home runs, 29 RBIs and scored 21 times. |   |
