 | Big Day for Milford: Swats 5 Hits Friday, April 29th, 2016 It was a big day with the bat for Clement Milford of the Eureka Hornets at Michigan & Trumball as he bashed out hit after hit after hit to defeat Washington 10-9. After the game he said, "Guys, it's just one game in a long season. I hit it hard and found some holes today. 5 hits in 5 tries. But my hits are not the big thing in the game. The victory is the important thing. That's the story." At the end of the game Milford had collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats and a small mention in the record book. He was happy. He had a big day with the bat. And the Hornets had won. Clement Milford tripled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Milford is hitting .313 with 1 home run. |   |
