 | Roberts Smacks 5 Hits for Mafia Thursday, April 21st, 2016 It was a big day with the bat for Daniel Roberts of the New York Mafia at Don Corleone Park as he bashed out hit after hit after hit to defeat Dallas 12-9. After the game he said, "Guys, it's just one game in a long season. I hit it hard and found some holes today. 5 hits in 5 tries. But my hits are not the big thing in the game. The victory is the important thing. That's the story." At the end of the game Roberts had collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats and a small mention in the record book. He was happy. He had a big day with the bat. And the Mafia had won. Daniel Roberts hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this year Roberts is batting .288 with no home runs, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. |   |
