 | Baker Slams 5 Hits for Washington Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but P.J. Baker got one today. He scattered hits all over Staples Field @ The Rose Bowl to pace Washington to a 7-3 victory over So Cal. The So Cal skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Baker hit several that he is not supposed to hit." P.J. Baker singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Brad Austin in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Baker has hit 4 home runs and posted a .500 batting average. |   |
