 | Lane 5-5 Against South Carolina Sunday, April 10th, 2016 Dave Lane exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Bomber Ballpark. The Boston second baseman had a field day in the 12-1 triumph over the South Carolina Bombers, finishing with a 5-5 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Lane must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Dave Lane hit a solo-shot off Reijiro Yamaguchi in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, tripled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This year Lane has hit at a .400 clip with 6 hits, 2 home runs, 2 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |   |
