 | Fernando Guzmán Winner in September Thursday, October 1st, 2015 Fernando Guzmán is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the South Carolina first baseman joined that select company when the Thurman Munson League announced the results of September's voting. Guzmán totaled 32 hits, 8 walks, 9 home runs, 22 RBIs and 20 runs scored last month to put together a .340 batting average and .400 on-base percentage. This season Guzmán has banged out 136 hits in 553 at-bats for a .246 average with 28 home runs. He is getting on base at a .334 pace and his totals also include 84 RBIs and 81 runs scored. |   |
