 | 20-Game Hitting Streak for Smith Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 The Berserkers 27-year-old center fielder Matt Smith has been on a tear for several weeks and his hitting streak is getting longer. The streak is now at 20 games after he went 2-5 as Minnesota got the best of San Francisco 8-4 today at Golden Gate Park. Matt Smith doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, walked in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. Smith is batting .314 this year with 11 home runs, 57 RBIs and 71 runs scored. He has 152 hits in 484 at-bats. |   |
