 | Star of the Week Named in RCL Monday, August 11th, 2014 At the age of 29, Joe Leftwich might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Washington right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .533 batting average. For his efforts Leftwich collected the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 16 hits in 30 at-bats, 1 home run and 2 RBIs last week in 7 games. This year Leftwich is batting .370 with 22 home runs. He has scored 83 runs and driven in 69. |   |
