 | Mustangs, Hornets Make Trade Monday, July 14th, 2014 It's all done except the paperwork. The Mile High Mustangs and the Eureka Hornets have agreed to a trade that will send 23-year-old reliever Cal Henry, 21-year-old minor league third baseman Manuel Sánchez and 22-year-old minor league right fielder Jack Watson to Eureka, while 35-year-old third baseman Eduardo Gómez will be shipped to Mile High. A top front office executive with the Mustangs described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said. For the season Sánchez has produced 26 hits in 100 at-bats for a .260 average with 1 home run and gotten on base at a .330 clip. So far this season Gómez is hitting .283 with 5 home runs. |   |
