 | Capitalists 1B Chase Out Thursday, May 22nd, 2014 Watching Shannon Chase getting helped off the field today at Huron River Park, fans of the Washington Capitalists feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the first baseman will miss 10 months with a torn posterior cruciate ligament. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Chase suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Barn Owls. This year Chase has hit at a .291 clip with 16 RBIs, 6 home runs and 14 runs scored. |   |
