 | Jokers Lose Gordon Thornton Sunday, April 27th, 2014 Watching Gordon Thornton getting helped off the field today at Lucky 7 Ballpark, fans of the Las Vegas Jokers feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the center fielder will miss 5 weeks with a sprained ankle. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Thornton suffered the injury throwing the ball in the game against the Marauders. So far this year Thornton is hitting .342 with 4 home runs. |   |
