 | Injury Forces Javier Ramón Out Saturday, April 26th, 2014 The Boston Cardinals were dealt a severe blow when Javier Ramón was hurt making a defensive play recently in a game against the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. After the game, the team trainer reported Ramón might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 31-year-old center fielder out for the rest of the season with a ruptured disc. They indicated it would take Ramón at least 7 months to heal. To date this season Ramón is hitting .215 with no home runs. |   |
