Gary Payne Shelved by Injury Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 Georgia Ghost Busters closer Gary Payne left yesterday's game against the Cabo San Lucas Toreros after suffering a partially torn labrum throwing a pitch. Payne was taken to the clubhouse for examination by team doctors. A team spokesman told BNN today Payne is expected to miss 3-4 months. Up to this point in the season, Payne has made 68 relief appearances with 42 saves. Payne has also recorded a 3-2 won-lost mark with a 0.70 ERA. In 76.2 innings he has fanned 113. |   |
