 | Kato Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, June 14th, 2015 Yasushi Kato collected 4 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, beat ORIX 12-0. After the ballgame, Kato quipped to a BNN reporter, "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball. I'm pretty excited how things are clicking." Yasushi Kato doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Masaki Kichida in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 8th. To date this year Kato is batting .335 with 11 home runs. |   |
