 | Ogasahara and Kishita Fight, Suspended 8 Games Thursday, May 28th, 2015 After an intense confrontation, both the Swallows Masafumi Ogasahara and the Giants Hiroji Kishita were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Tokyo Yakult-Yomiuri game. Both players will miss 8 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Masafumi Ogasahara commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." For the year Ogasahara is batting .231 with 1 home run. In 8 starts this year Kishita has fashioned a 3-3 record and a 2.96 ERA. |   |
