 | Fighters Lose Kunimichi Tanaka Sunday, August 31st, 2014 After injuring himself, Fighters reliever Kunimichi Tanaka headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Tanaka will miss at least 13-14 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. For the season Tanaka has made 48 relief appearances, recorded 3 saves and compiled a 3-4 won-lost mark and a 6.13 ERA. In pitching 61.2 innings, he has totaled 58 strikeouts and 40 walks. |   |
