 | Saito Goes 5-5 Friday, August 22nd, 2014 Hayato Saito put on a hitting clinic today as the Marines dumped the Golden Eagles 16-4 at Sailboats Ballpark. The Chiba Lotte center fielder sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Tohoku Rakuten pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." Hayato Saito singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Takeo Yamamoto in the 9th. This season Saito is hitting at a .330 pace with 9 home runs, 38 RBIs and has scored 62 times. |   |
