 | Carp Osamu Ito Wins CL Award Monday, July 21st, 2014 The votes have been tallied and the winner of the Central League Player of the Week has been named. It was awarded earlier today to Osamu Ito for his great week at the plate. The Hiroshima Toyo left fielder took home the trophy by banging out 6 hits in 15 at-bats for a .400 batting average, driving in 5 runs and scoring 7 times. So far this season Ito has hit .325 with 21 home runs, 53 RBIs and and scored 52 times. |   |
