 | Hits Galore: Yokoyama Drills 5 Hits Wednesday, July 9th, 2014 Who needs batting practice? Masaki Yokoyama of Hanshin apparently doesn't as he peppered Chunichi with a 5-hit outburst in today's game. He got the hits, but lost the game. The Dragons pulled out a 11-10 win. He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. This was really something... a 5 for 6 day... will my name be in the record books now?" One of his teammates hollered out, "No, only if your team wins the game!" Masaki Yokoyama singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. This season Yokoyama is batting .275 with 2 home runs. His totals include 23 RBIs and 33 runs scored. |   |
