 | CL Announces Player of the Week Monday, May 26th, 2014 Tokyo Yakult Swallows shortstop Konosuke Watanabe had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Central League named him Player of the Week. Watanabe banged out 8 hits in 13 at-bats on the way to a .615 batting average. He also racked up 1 home run, 13 RBIs and 5 runs scored. On the year Watanabe is hitting .367 with 11 hits, 2 home runs, 15 RBIs, .475 OBP and has scored 10 runs. |   |
