 | Sakei Raps 3 HR Against Giants Thursday, April 24th, 2014 Bigger paychecks might be in the offing, if Totoya Sakei continues to hit like he did today against the Giants. The Tohoku Rakuten third baseman crushed three into the stands at Sailboats Ballpark in a remarkable performance, propelling the Golden Eagles to a 28-14 win over Yomiuri. He tagged 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 8 runs and scored 4 times. Speaking to writers after the game, he said, "It was just one of those days when you got something to hit and did something with it." The Yomiuri skipper agreed with him. "We made three mistakes and he made us pay each time." Totoya Sakei walked in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Tetsuhiko Ishida in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Kichisaburo Watanabe in the 5th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Munoto Ohayashi in the 8th.
