 | CL Batter of the Month Honors to Amano Sunday, September 1st, 2013 Today Yomiuri's Kiichi Amano was named Central League Batter of the Month for August. He slammed opposing pitching hard all month long, bashing out 17 hits in 53 at-bats. With a .321 batting average, 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 10 runs scored, he was a solid choice. In 41 games this season Amano has compiled a .297 batting average with 43 hits and 11 home runs. He has also scored 25 times and knocked in 41 runs. |   |
