 | Dixon Smacks 5 Hits for Royales Tuesday, April 14th, 2015 History in the making. That's what the fans at Corvettes Ballpark got to see today in the Calgary 10-7 triumph over the Royales. Zeke Dixon of the Montreal came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against the Outlaws. "It was a great day for me, but a disappointing one for our fans," he said to the reporters covering the game. "I wish I could have won it for them. They like stats, but they love winning." In the postgame press conference the Calgary skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink. I am just glad we escaped with a win. Dixon was lethal." Zeke Dixon doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Nick Avery in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Fu-quan Xiang in the 8th and walked in the 9th. Currently Dixon is hitting .258 and has collected 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 2 times, while playing in 8 games. |   |
