 | Red-Hot Hobbs Scorches Royales Wednesday, June 11th, 2014 Calgary catcher Mike Hobbs really lit up the Montreal Royales with a 5-hit barrage today at Eliminators Ballpark -- a performance that sparked the Outlaws to a 31-14 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
Mike Hobbs struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bryan Daley in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Dave Simonds in the 7th, walked in the 8th, walked in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Dave Winters in the 9th.
This year Hobbs has collected a .295 batting average to date with 52 hits in 176 at-bats, 64 RBIs, 21 home runs and scored 45 times. He has played in 45 games. |   |
