 | Marchand Booms 3 out of the Park Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Blue Wings Ballpark were taking cover all day long as Joseph Marchand took aim, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. Days like this are rare. After his amazing performance in Trois-Rivieres's 21-11 triumph over the Calgary Outlaws, the right fielder's name will soon be added into the record books. He told reporters at the postgame press conference, "I told myself not to press on the last one. I knew I couldn't force it... that it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game he collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, batted in 6 and scored 6 runs. Joseph Marchand hit a two-run home run off George Regimbald in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Tyler Morrisey in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Xander Shanks in the 7th and walked in the 8th. This season Marchand is batting .311 with 10 home runs. His totals include 32 RBIs and 33 runs scored. |   |
