 | South Illinois's Russell Down with Injury Monday, May 14th, 2012 Bill Russell expressed his disappointment when he learned that a torn ulnar collateral ligament would sideline him for 9 months. "I'll just spend a lot of time in the training room and hopefully speed up the healing process. Nobody likes to be out of the line-up," explained Russell. The starting pitcher got hurt in today's game with the Miami Hurricanes. He was hurt throwing a pitch. Team officials had no comment on his roster replacement. This year Russell has fanned 64 in 59 innings and collected a 2-3 record with a 3.81 ERA. |   |
