The Clemson Tigers are in need of a manager. They fired Floyd Ferguson today. Contacted at home by BNN, Ferguson admitted that there was some tension over his departure, but that it was "probably for the best." When pressed, Ferguson was bullish about his future: We had our ups and we had our downs, but right now I am focusing on the next stage of my career... wherever that may be. I still love the game of baseball and still think I can do the job. The Tigers are not the only team in the world." Clemson officials gave no word on who the new skipper would be. |   |
