 | Holland Connects for 3 Homers for Ragin Cajuns Tuesday, April 21st, 2015 Andrew Holland of the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns had a lot to celebrate in today's 12-2 win over the LSU Tigers. Three times he celebrated by pounding the ball out of South Paris College Grounds. He kiddingly told reporters after the game, "Hopefully, I can continue to close my eyes and swing as hard as I can. It worked well today." The powerful Louisiana-Layfayette catcher tagged 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 7 runs and scored 3 times in his three-home-run outburst. Holland added, "Seriously, I just try to swing early and often to give myself a chance. I let the pitcher supply all the power, I just try to figure out how to get the bat on the ball." "We talked about changing our strategy for the third one... and then he hit another homer," the LSU manager said. "We just couldn't get him out." Andrew Holland hit a solo-shot off Steve Harmon in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Steve Harmon in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Paul Rice in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Holland is batting .457 with 32 hits, 4 home runs, 17 RBIs, 5 walks, .506 OBP and has scored 19 runs. |   |
