 | Thrice Is Nice: O'Neil Unloads 3 Homers Sunday, May 18th, 2014 James O'Neil showed some power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the South Illinois Salukis and sparked the Buckeyes to a 8-0 victory. For the day he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 7 RBIs. In the postgame press conference he told reporters, "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good. I always have liked to hit here at Ballpark of Bloomfield College." "He was instant offense today," the Ohio State skipper said. "James really put on a show." James O'Neil flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Bob Anderson in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Andy Rollins in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Hubert Moss in the 8th. Thus far this season O'Neil is hitting .333 with 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 36 at-bats and has played in 29 games. |   |
