 | Tar Heels Campbell Smacks 5 Hits Thursday, May 15th, 2014 Who needs batting practice? Ace Campbell of North Carolina apparently doesn't as he battered Georgia Tech with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 14-1 win. He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 6 day... will my name be in the record books now?" Ace Campbell hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This year Campbell is batting .313 with 3 home runs and 21 RBIs. In 29 games he has scored 16 times. |   |
