 | League Suspends Rogers and Vickers for Fisticuffs Saturday, April 19th, 2014 You would have thought you were at a hockey game yesterday at Ballpark of Redwood College. A free-for-all broke out when Edward Rogers of Virginia and Steve Vickers of Miami rushed one another on the field and had to be restrained by umpires and teammates. Few blows landed, but it was enough for them to be ejected from the game. Today both teams received notification from the league office that the two players would be suspended for 4 games. This season Rogers is hitting .322 with 4 home runs. To this point in the season Vickers has 1 save in 8 relief appearances with a 0-0 record and 4.50 ERA. |   |
