 | League Takes Action, Mata Suspended Wednesday, April 9th, 2014 In California the Golden Bears got the news of António Mata's 2-game suspension. The 21-year-old left fielder appeared to make contact with an umpire while arguing balls and strikes during yesterday's game against the Golden Eagles. Mata told reporters that he did not grab anybody. "It is one thing to throw me out of the game for arguing, but that is not enough to kick me out for 2 games." Mata is currently batting .147 with no home runs and 5 RBIs. |   |
