 | Hurt Goes Long 3 Times Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 South Illinois second baseman Alan Hurt led the Salukis to a 11-9 triumph over the South Carolina Gamecocks, crushing three home runs. "He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said the South Illinois skipper. Indeed, Hurt put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 4 hits in 4 at-bats with 3 runs and 6 RBIs. "Guys like that," said the manager, "make my job ten times easier." So far on the season Hurt is hitting .414 with 7 home runs, 12 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 12 hits and played in 7 games. |   |
