 | AHL Selects León September's Top Starter Thursday, October 1st, 2015 Over the past month Héctor León has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the August Herrman League. He proved all that and now he's been named September's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Huntsville Sabercats posted 4-0 mark and a 2.34 ERA. In 5 starts he tossed 34.2 innings, permitted 29 hits and fanned 22 batters. León has fashioned a 13-9 mark for the season, 4.38 ERA and thrown 185 innings in 30 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .262 against him. |   |
