 | 20-Game Hitting Streak for Kobayashi Tuesday, September 8th, 2015 Baltimore could care less about Mitsuzuka Kobayashi's hitting streak. All they care about is who won the game. The Blue Claws manager told BNN, "Not to belittle his streak, but at the end of the day, the important thing is winning the game, not stopping a hitting streak." Well, the Blue Claws didn't stop Mitsuzuka Kobayashi today, but they won the game 7-2 over the Saints. The St. Paul third baseman was 2-for-4 in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. Mitsuzuka Kobayashi singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This year Kobayashi is hitting at a .262 pace with 8 home runs and 56 RBIs. He has played in 131 games and scored 48 times. |   |
