 | AHL Premier Player Picked Monday, May 11th, 2015 Martin Petersen must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .550 clip, then the Penzance right fielder finds outs he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the AHL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Petersen batted .550 (11-20) with 4 home runs and 12 RBIs. This year Petersen is batting .274 with 5 home runs. He has scored 18 runs and driven in 18. |   |
