 | CF Aoyama Given 3-Game Suspension Friday, April 24th, 2015 Sanford's Yosai Aoyama made contact with the home plate umpire during a dispute in the game with the Mustangs yesterday and he will have to pay for it. Aoyama violently disagreed when he was called out on strikes. During the intense discussion he bumped chests with the umpire and was immediately tossed out of the game. Today the league commissioner gave him a 3-game suspension. Still steamed by it, Aoyama told BNN, "I think the ump bumped me and he is the one who should be suspended. I'm going to appeal this sucker." This year Aoyama has collected a .254 batting average to date with 16 hits in 63 at-bats, 7 RBIs, 2 home runs and scored 6 times. He has played in 16 games. |   |
