 | Career Over for Guillermo Vega Sunday, April 12th, 2015 The expression on his face said it all when right fielder Guillermo Vega was injured making a defensive play today in a game at The Republic against New Orleans. You could tell that this was no minor injury. Vega was examined quickly by the team doctor and immediately rushed to the local hospital. After several tests, the diagnosis was a concussion, and in this case, it means his career is over. The Baltimore Blue Claws issued the following statement: "It is with great sadness that we see Guillermo ending his career due to injury. He was a great competitor and teammate and will be missed by the Blue Claws organization." Vega is 19 years old. Presently Vega is batting .222 with 4 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 7 runs and scored 5 times. |   |
