He hurled the Bethesda Hornets to a 3-0 shutout victory over the Houston Sting, yielding 1 hit with 7 strikeouts and 1 walk. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," the Houston skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
