"He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games." Armando Marte put together a very solid month to take home the Buck O'Neil League's top pitching honor in May. The 20-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 14 relief appearances he raked in 11 saves and 17 strikeouts in 14 innings as he put together his 1-0 record and 0.00 ERA. This year Marte has made 19 relief appearances and saved 15. His record is 1-1 with 23 strikeouts in 18.2 innings and a 0.48 ERA. |   |
