 | Gunner Smart Out for 4 Weeks Friday, August 7th, 2015 Whether he wants it or not, Gunner Smart of the Long Island Ducks will be getting some R & R -- rest and relaxation. The third baseman was hurt in today's Ducks-Lights game while colliding with a player at a base. Team officials announced after the game that Smart had suffered a strained hamstring and would be out of action for 4 weeks. Smart is hitting .324 this year with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 37 at-bats, 13 walks and a .500 on-base percentage. Smart has played in 12 games. |   |
