 | Kichida Smacks 5 Hits for Beehive Tuesday, July 28th, 2015 It was a hits blitz for Naofumi Kichida at The Rat Hole. The Madison Beehive right fielder tore into Rock River for 5 hits in 5 at-bats and wrote his name into the record book. But it wasn't enough to win the game. The Rock River Rats swept past the Beehive 11-9 to ruin the day for him. The Madison manager bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game. The Rats got too many good looks today, and we paid for it." Naofumi Kichida hit a two-run home run off Tsukasa Yamanoue in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 9th. This year Kichida has collected a .265 batting average to date with 74 hits in 279 at-bats, 36 RBIs, 8 home runs and scored 34 times. He has played in 88 games. |   |
