 | FFL's Best Player, Delgado of Wichita Monday, June 22nd, 2015 Jesús Delgado must have thought he was in seventh heaven this week. First he went on a sensational hitting spree, belting the ball at a .400 pace, then the Wichita catcher finds outs he has been selected the top performer and gets the Ford Frick League Player of the Week Award. Asked what his hitting philosophy was, Delgado quipped to the BNN reporters, "Well, my theory of hitting is to just watch the ball as it comes in and hit it." It was a good week's work for Delgado. He hit .400 average (10-25) with 6 home runs and 11 RBIs. This season Delgado has hit at a .246 clip with 42 RBIs, 17 home runs and 29 runs scored. He has played in 60 games. |   |
