 | Wolves SP Chappell Out Sunday, October 5th, 2014 Bob Chappell at first refused to leave today's Silicon Valley-Lake of the Isles game after he suffered a damaged elbow ligament while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Lake of the Isles starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Chappell out of action for 13 months. To this point in the season, Chappell shows a 13-10 record, 31 starts, 181.2 innings, 177 strikeouts and a 4.16 ERA. |   |
