 | Star of the Week Named in FFL Monday, September 29th, 2014 23-year-old Carlos Delvalle made a few Phoenix headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Ford Frick League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 20 at-bats to put up a .550 average. Delvalle collected 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 9 runs. Looking at his stats this year, Delvalle has compiled a .259 batting average, while hitting 20 home runs and driving in 61 runs. He has played in 84 games and scored 51 runs. |   |
